This privacy notice is provided pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and the applicable Italian data protection provisions. Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale is a company established in Italy and, as such, is subject to the GDPR when processing personal data. This notice explains how Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale processes the personal data provided by individuals who complete the contact sheet during events, fairs, meetings or promotional initiatives, in order to be contacted by the company and/or to receive marketing communications.

Where the information provided refers to a company, business or professional organisation, Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale processes such information as personal data only to the extent that it relates to an identified or identifiable individual, such as a contact person, individual professional, sole trader or company representative.
Data subjects are asked not to provide health-related data, data relating to other individuals, or any information that is not necessary for the purposes described in this privacy notice. Any additional information provided by the data subject is processed solely in order to respond to the request, is not used for any other purpose and is deleted once the request has been dealt with.
Personal data are processed for the purposes, on the legal bases and for the retention periods set out in the table below.

The provision of personal data is voluntary. However, failure to provide the data necessary to manage the contact request may prevent Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale from contacting the data subject or providing the requested information. Consent for marketing purposes is optional. Refusal to give consent does not affect participation in the event, nor the possibility of receiving information strictly related to a specific request made by the data subject. Marketing communications are sent only through the channels for which the data subject has given specific consent.
Personal data are processed using paper-based, electronic and digital tools, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, data minimisation, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality. Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction. Completed contact sheets are kept secure during the event and are destroyed once the data they contain have been transferred to the company’s systems.
Personal data are not used for profiling, nor for decisions based solely on automated processing which produce legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affect them.
Personal data may be processed by authorised personnel of Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale who need to access the data for the purposes described in this privacy notice. Personal data may also be disclosed to third parties who process personal data on behalf of Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale, including IT service providers, communication service providers, marketing support providers, consultants, collaborators and commercial agents. In particular, the contact details provided through the contact sheet may be transmitted to collaborators and/or commercial agents of Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale, appointed as data processors pursuant to Article 28 GDPR, where they process personal data on behalf of Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale and under its documented instructions, for the purpose of contacting interested individuals, providing commercial information and promoting or selling machinery, devices, products or services offered by Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale.
Such collaborators and/or commercial agents are not authorised to use the personal data for their own independent purposes.
Personal data may also be disclosed to public authorities, judicial authorities, supervisory authorities or other parties where required by law.
Personal data are processed within the European Union and the European Economic Area.
Where, for organisational, commercial or technical reasons, personal data are transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, including through collaborators, agents, service providers or IT tools located outside the EU/EEA, Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale will ensure that such transfers take place in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR.
In particular, transfers may be based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or, in the absence of such a decision, on appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 GDPR, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with any supplementary measures required.

Personal data are retained for the periods set out in the table above.
Once a year, Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale asks the contacts included in its marketing lists, through the channels for which consent has been given, to confirm that they are still interested in receiving communications from the company. If no confirmation is received within the period indicated in that communication, the contact details are deleted from the marketing lists.
The retention period set out under letter d) of the table above applies only where a dispute or claim arises; in the absence of such circumstances, personal data are deleted within the periods set out under letters a) and b).
The data subject may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Consent may be withdrawn by writing to info@cesarequaranta.it or dpo@cesarequaranta.it, or by using the unsubscribe link included in every e-mail communication.
Where consent is withdrawn, Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale stops sending marketing communications through the relevant channel and deletes the contact details from its marketing lists, retaining only the information necessary to document the withdrawal and to prevent further unwanted communications, as set out under letter c) of the table above.
Under the GDPR, the data subject may exercise, where applicable, the following rights:
Requests may be submitted to Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale using the contact details indicated in this privacy notice or, in order to withdraw consent to marketing communications by e-mail, using the unsubscribe link included in every communication. The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the supervisory authority of the EU Member State where they reside, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale will respond to data subjects’ requests without undue delay and, in any case, within one month of receipt of the request. This period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests. In such case, Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale will inform the data subject of the extension and the reasons for the delay within one month of receipt of the request.
Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale may update this privacy notice where necessary, for example in the event of changes to the processing activities, communication channels, recipients of personal data or applicable legal requirements.
The updated version of this privacy notice will be made available through the channels used by Cesare Quaranta S.r.l. Unipersonale, including at the event desk, by QR code or link, and on request, with an indication of the date of the last update.
